My first appointment with Scott was a disaster to say the least!! I have been a patient of Advancement Pain Management for 11 years; and will be noted as APM from here on out in this review.
My visit on 7-24-26 went as such:
We met and he refilled my mes and said I could go. I was shocked, that was it?? I asked if he wanted to know what had transpired over the past month; I had fallen on my knee and hurt my back as well. He stated, Oh, I thought everything was the same. No, everything is not the same. I proceeded to inform him of what had transpired over the past month. He was NOT taking any notes. All of my previous nurses had documented everything! He inquired about my previous MRI status. At this point I informed him that if he was going to recommend an MRI, it would have to be under my workmans comp ins.
Well, that changed the entire visit to hostility! He became very belligerent and reprimanded me here on out. He stated I was not taking my own health care under my control and I needed a first report and authorization to be seen, etc, etc, etc!! I tried to tell him my case was since 2013 and I have been coming here for 11 years. He completely ignored me and continued to ignore me and did not hear a word I said. I informed him that he was the only one that was not aware of what was going on here. He continued on and on. I had to raise my voice to get him to listen and he was having none of it. He stated he could not prescribe my meds under WK ins and proceeded to tell me I would have to seek another pain management clinic.
I knew he was wrong; I am a licensed medical professional for greater than 40 years! But again, he would not listen. He continued to be rude and condescending.
He stated he would not fill any meds for me, basically now or ever! I informed him I was completely out, because I had an appointment that was 3 days past my usual. He didn't care. He kept up his rant of my poor care with my own health care. I informed him I would never see him again and he seemed happy with that. He refused to listen to me at all costs! I tried to defuse the situation and start over, but he was not having any of that.
I have never in my 11 years of coming to APM been treated this way; EVER! This was by far the worst experience I have ever had here. Hopefully we rectify this situation so that I may continue to be seen in the Mesa location. I know the staff here and we all get along very well.

Excellent professional. Explains very well so that the patient understands his/her conditions. She is always willing to answer questions and clarifies doubts from the patient. The whole staff in this office is very kind and supportive . Staff also very professional.

I usually see my regular nurse practitioner but today she was not there so I had to see someone else. It was a great experience. Jamie was wonderful. She asked me questions and I asked her questions and we both got answers. It was a very enjoyable visit.
